Who We Are

A team of highly experienced, commercially licensed professionals, Certified 19-A Examiners and New York State-qualified School Transportation Master Instructors who offer a wide range of transportation support to all component school districts in Rockland County and beyond, typically providing roundtrip transportation between home and school, using late-model specialized and adapted buses.

At Rockland BOCES, our school bus drivers and bus attendants play important roles in the communities we serve. They are committed to safety, responsiveness and have genuine, caring attitudes for children and teens.

What We Do

Rockland BOCES school bus drivers and bus attendants help to ensure a safe and reliable transportation option for our students.

Transportation services can include:

• Travel to and from school
• Travel between schools, and in/around school buildings. 
• Travel to field trips, career-based instruction or vocational trips
• Travel to and from Summer School Special Education
• Special education transportation specialized or adaptive equipment, such as buses with lifts or ramps
• Specialized transportation for students with IEP/504 plans (curb-to-school) and extracurricular activities
• A provision of a bus attendant or 1:1 aide for safety and support
• Bus driver testing, training and monitoring of 19-A compliance and other state or federal requirements
• Vehicle fleet maintenance management of school district vehicles (DOT)
