WEEK 1 – JULY 6
Salon 101: Campers will work in a professional salon to learn the basics of hair styling (blowouts, straightening, curling), manicure/pedicure techniques, make-up application and skin care. Campers will experiment on themselves plus work on each other.
Dough! A Worldwide Phenomenon: From pizza and pasta to dumplings, empanadas and cookies, campers will learn how to make, manipulate and dress up dough for a variety of tasty treats.
Junior Veterinarian: Learn what it is like to be a vet! Try your hand at bandaging, performing physical exams and learning animal anatomy and physiology. Campers will work with different species in our lab housing over 35 animals!
Electrify It!: Get charged up! Through hands-on projects, campers will learn the basics of the electrical trades including safety, electrical theory, circuitry and more!
Picture This! Photography & Photoshop: Campers will learn to take pictures as an art form, visualizing their objects through the lens using the Rule of Thirds. The use of Photoshop for manipulation and touch-ups will also be introduced. Photos will be displayed in the CTEC Gallery on Friday for all to see.
Crash Masters! Auto Collision Repair: In our state-of-the-art collision repair shop, campers will learn the basics of dent and scratch removal, detailing, painting and air brushing and welding. Your vehicle will never look so good!
WEEK 2 – JULY 13
Salon 102: Building on Salon 101, but not a prerequisite, campers are able to dabble in all areas of salon work including hair styling, manicure/pedicure techniques, make-up application and skin care, OR they can choose one or two of these areas as a concentration and fine tune skills. The choice is yours!
Whisk Wizards! Baking & Cake Decorating: From cookies to cakes and everything in between, campers will learn how to make and decorate a variety of delicious desserts.
Mane & Moo - Horses, Cows, and More!: With the help of life size simulators and a field trip for live animal work, campers will learn the basics of large animal care including bridling and saddling a horse and milking and birthing a cow!
Electrify It!: Get charged up! Through hands-on projects, campers will learn the basics of the Electrical Trades including safety, electrical theory, circuitry and more!
Drip, Drip, Hooray! Plumbing 101: Skills everyone needs to know! Campers will learn the basics of the plumbing trade including soldering, pipefitting, fixture installation and tool use and safety.
Sparks & Recreation! Welding 101: Firing up a mix of practical and creative, all in one class! Campers will learn the basic concepts of welding as it relates to manufacturing and fabricating as well as design concepts for metal sculptures.
Design & Production! T-Shirt Factory: Express your creativity and learn practical and technical design skills to create your own custom brand and awesome apparel. Craft design concepts, make a portfolio and add your favorite designs to your very own custom hoodie and t-shirt.
WEEK 3 – JULY 20

Nacho Nonsense! Mexican Fiesta: Campers can unleash new cooking techniques while gaining an appreciation for Mexican culture. Traditional burritos, tacos, desserts and drinks are a few of the items on the menu!
Working with Exotic Animals: Did you know chinchillas bath in dust? Campers will learn to care for and interact with diverse species including reptiles, birds and small mammals.
Woodcraft Wizards! Carpentry Basics: In our state-of-the-art wood-working shop, campers will learn to plan, measure, cut, build and decorate their chosen project making it ready for home use.
A safety test must be completed before hand/power tools are used.

All-Terrain Action! Dirt Bikes & Quads: Campers will learn the mechanics behind the 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines needed to operate dirt bikes and quads. Transmissions, steering, suspension and brakes will also be introduced.
WEEK 4 – JULY 27

Kickin’ Up the Potato: From boiling, baking, roasting, and stuffing, campers will learn to prepare dishes centered around the beloved potato. Dishes will include gnocchi, curly fries, loaded fries, Hasselback potatoes and everything sweet potato, to name a few.

The Fire Science Academy – Through hands-on activities, campers will be introduced to skills needed to be a firefighter. Activities include hose handling, tour of a fire truck and a field trip to the Fire Training Center.
Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs Welding/Manufacturing Camp – Campers will learn the basics of welding and CNC manufacturing through the design and creation of a custom-made project. Second-time welding campers will work on more advanced projects using TIG and STICK welding techniques. An opportunity that should not be missed!!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
FAQ #1: Will lunch be provided?
A: Campers must bring their own lunch, snacks and drinks. They will be given a 30-minute break to eat and socialize.
FAQ #2: Will transportation be provided?
A: Parents must provide campers with transportation to and from camp.
FAQ #3: What is the payment/refund policy?
A: Full payment ($310) must be received upon registration. Refund requests will be honored on a case-by-case basis up to the Friday before the registered week. A $75 processing fee will be charged. FAQ #4: Is there a discount for siblings?
A: If you are registering more than one child, the cost for the second will be $250. If you qualify, please call (845) 627-4770.
Special Education Extended School Year Summer Program
An intensive, six-week program is available to students who require an extended school year (12 months). This program continues with all academic, behavioral, developmental and social needs requirements of a student’s IEP. Related services are provided, as per program model.

Regional Academic Summer School
Rockland BOCES will again offer Regional Academic Summer School during the Summer of 2026.
Regional Academic Summer School provides instructional support to students in participating districts to help them meet graduation requirements and the New York State standards. Component school districts determine student needs.
Regional Summer High School course offerings include English, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science and other areas of instruction, as requested by participating school districts. August Regents exams are offered to all districts, as per NYSED guidelines. Regional Summer Middle School students may receive instruction in English, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science.

Attendance/Absenteeism
The brief duration of summer school makes regular attendance imperative. Students are expected to attend class and participate each day. Family vacations are not legitimate reasons for absenteeism. Lateness will affect attendance participation points. Parents/guardians will be notified when a student is absent.

Monday - Thursday ONLY. NO classes on Fridays.
Period 1: 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Period 2 : 10:05 am - 12:05 pm
Period 3: 12:10 pm - 2:10 pm (only offered if needed)
Transportation
All questions regarding transportation should be directed to the home district. Rockland BOCES does not provide transportation. For students who drive, parking will be assigned by security personnel.
Registration
Students may register in the guidance office of their home school district in June. They may also register at the Regional Summer School office from Tuesday, June 30 - Tuesday, July 7 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (noon). No course registrations will be accepted after 12:00 pm (noon) on July 7. Registrations will not be accepted without the approval of the home district.
Students may not enroll in more than TWO courses without the permission of the home school Principal. If registering at the Summer School office, students MUST bring photo ID, copy of report card, copy of IEP/504 (if applicable) and bank check/money order (if applicable).

Regents Exams and Regents Review Courses
Students NOT enrolling in summer school but who want to take a Regents exam for a 6 week course they completed at their home school, must register at their home school or the summer school office from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (noon) by Friday, July 17. The same deadline applies for students who want to sign up for Regents Review courses.
Out of District Registration
Students not attending a participating school district but whose parents/guardians reside in a participating district can register by obtaining a letter on school letterhead signed by their home school principal stating the necessary courses. The student's NYS Student ID number must be included.
Report Cards/Examinations
Mid-Summer & Final report cards will be mailed home Friday, July 24 & Tuesday, August 25. Students must take mid-term and final exams on scheduled dates. All other questions, please contact Rockland BOCES
Registration Fees - TBD
Fees MUST be paid by money order or certified bank check payable to: Haverstraw-Stony Point Central School District. Please make a note of the student’s name and school district on the money order or certified check. Payments must be made in FULL at registration. There will be no refunds for any individual, once monies have been deposited.
