Practical Nursing

Participate in an interview after passing reading and math tests. Please be prepared to submit completed application, written recommendations and required paperwork for your interview appointment. Missing documents will delay the application process and place the applicant on a waitlist.

Receive an acceptance letter for admission into the Practical Nursing program. Applicants who have successfully completed steps 1-3 will be notified via email on either April 26, May 31 or June 21.

Total Hours: 1,080
Classes begin each fall for Rockland BOCES’ full-time Practical Nursing program. Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Practical Nursing given by the New York State Board of Nursing.

The Rockland BOCES Practical Nursing program is accredited by the New York State Education Department’s Office of the Professions.
