English Language and Literacy

Click here to sign up for one of our upcoming orientations at our Nyack location. Expect to be at the orientation at least 2 hours. Please note students who fail to attend orientation will not be allowed to start any of our programs (ESL, GED and Bridge to Careers).

During the Orientation you will learn in depth about all our programs and the Path to Success. You will be asked to provide contact information and will be provided with next steps in the process. At the end of Orientation, you will be asked to sign up for registration.

After attending the Orientation session you will be asked to sign up for a registration time which is expected to last at least 2 hours and where you will be able to secure a spot in one of our programs. 

Only people attending the orientation will be able to sign up for a registration time. 

During your registration time, staff will complete documentation with you, create an Education and Employment Plan and obtain your employability score. 

Students attending registration will be tested in English to assess their level and program. 

At the end of Registration you will walk away with your schedule of classes, required books, and additional resources. 

Students who do not show up for class within the first two weeks of the program starting, will lose their seat in the program and will have to re-start their enrollment process (attend orientation, registration and re-do an assessment).
