Adult students learn to speak, understand, read and write English through Rockland BOCES ESOL programs. Classes help students build self-confidence, explore career potential and develop job-readiness skills.

Classes are offered at various times and locations to meet the needs of Rockland County residents ages 21 and older seeking employment. ESOL classes are free to English language learners.

Schedule

We offer morning, evening and Saturday classes. Hours of operation vary based on location and English level. Please see location and hours of operation below.

Enrollment

To enroll in the English as a Second Language program, adults must first attend an information session (at least 2 hrs long) and then attend a registration meeting to assess English level and decide their class schedule.

Bridge to Careers

The Bridge to Careers program aims to assist students in building workforce literacy skills and academics in English, Mathematics, and overall workforce readiness which can result in either entering a GED® preparation course or vocational course and/or obtaining a new job or higher salary. Click here to learn more!
