Donned in crisp white attire, 42 adult students graduated June 11 from the Rockland BOCES Practical Nursing (PN) program during a traditional “pinning” ceremony. Awards were presented for academic and clinical excellence, academic excellence in psychiatric nursing and for overall academic achievement in the nursing field.
Each graduate, dressed in a traditional nurse uniform, was welcomed into the profession by having a nursing pin fastened to her or his lapel by Program Coordinator Mary Shine.
The Rockland BOCES Practical Nursing program continues to be a primary provider of LPN’s in the Lower Hudson Valley. For more than 50 years, Rockland BOCES PN graduates have provided skilled and compassionate care to all they serve.
