CTEC’s 2016 NYS SkillsUSA champs for the banner contest, JT Mancino and Keri Tanner.

Two Digital Design & Marketing students—Keri Tanner (Pearl River High School) and JT Mancino (Clarkstown North High School)—took the first place finish in banner contest at the 50th Annual SkillsUSA New York State Leadership Conference and Skills Championship.

Top technical students from across the state gathered for the competition, held at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse from April 27 through April 29. Twenty-nine Rockland BOCES students from nine area high schools competed in areas such as culinary arts, TV/video production, 3-D visualization and animation, criminal justice, cosmetology and other careers that represent the courses offered at CTEC.
