Adult Education team at the NYATEP conferenceShowcasing collaboration and excellence! The Rockland BOCES Adult Education team joined with Rockland County’s Director of Economic Growth Lucy Redzeposki to highlight the success of the Youth Connections program during the recent New York Association of Training & Employment Professional’s (NYATEP) 2017 Northeast Regional Youth Academy Excellence in Youth Programming conference in Saratoga Springs.

Youth Connections involves a partnership between the Workforce Development Board of Rockland County, Rockland BOCES and Rockland Community College. It offers paid work experiences, career planning, internships, guidance and counseling, vocational training, resume and interview workshops and tutoring for young people and local adults. Redzeposki and Rockland BOCES Adult Education Director Christopher D’Ambrese detailed the program’s results, including the enrollment of 25 youth into paid work positions over the last year.
