Rockland BOCES Student Services Division Welcomes New Administrators

Rockland BOCES Student Services Division Welcomes New Administrators

This spring, Rockland BOCES welcomed two new members to our Student Services Division. Courtney Violetti was named Principal for District-Based Middle School and High School Therapeutic Support Programs. Nicole Nesi was named Assistant Principal at our River View High School.

Ms. Violetti comes to Rockland BOCES with an extensive background in special education administration, most recently serving the Suffern Central School District in the role Supervisor for Secondary Special Services.  As a Secondary Special Education Teacher with a concentration in Social Studies, Courtney possesses both the expertise of an administrator and the experience working directly with students facing a variety of academic and social-emotional learning needs. She is well-versed in developing and nurturing classroom environments and instructional practices that promote student growth and success.

Ms. Nesi comes to Rockland BOCES with an extensive administrative and instructional resume.  Prior to joining the agency, Ms. Nesi served as a special education teacher in the East Ramapo Central School District, where she developed and implemented various monitoring strategies for students facing unique learning challenges. Nicole is well-versed in various social-emotional learning theories and has a deep understanding of various instructional technologies to help support student success.

Ms. Violetti and Ms. Nesi’s well-rounded background and extensive resumes will greatly benefit our students, families, staff and school community.
