MOVER of the Month - October 2025

Congratulations to Elijah our Rockland BOCES Jesse J. Kaplan School “MOVER of the Month” for October! Since joining the MOVE™ program, Elijah has demonstrated his resilience in overcoming significant medical challenges with determination and joy.

“Elijah has been with us for two years and he is thriving,” says Kaplan Physical Therapist Kristin Mullen. “He has come leaps and bounds over the past few years. He’s propelling himself down the hallway, and I know we’re going to see amazing things from him.”

Kaplan’s MOVE™ (Mobility Opportunities via Education) program combines therapy and education to teach children with physical disabilities and complex needs the functional skills of sitting, standing, and walking. MOVE™ aims to givechildren an opportunity to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. Every child deserves the right to MOVE™.
