MOVER of the Month - November 2025

Congratulations to Justin our Rockland BOCES Jesse J. Kaplan School “MOVER of the Month” for November! Since joining the MOVE™ program, Justin has excelled in his day-to-day capabilities, extending his mobility to new heights.

“Justin has been with us since he was five, and he has come leaps and bounds,” says Kaplan Physical Therapist Kristin Mullen. “At nine years old, he’s now walking handheld, independently with the walker in the hallway with some supervision and he propels the bicycle by himself.”

Kaplan’s MOVE™ (Mobility Opportunities via Education) program combines therapy and education to teach children with physical disabilities and complex needs the functional skills of sitting, standing, and walking. MOVE™ aims to givechildren an opportunity to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. Every child deserves the right to MOVE™.
