MOVER of the Month - May 2026

Congratulations to Peter, our Rockland BOCES Jesse J. Kaplan School “MOVER of the Month” for May!  Since joining the MOVE™ program, Peter has demonstrated that hard work and dedication pay off. 

“Peter can independently take steps with assistance for guidance,” says Kaplan Physical Therapists Liju Sam. “Sometimes, he wants to go for a run, and we have to keep up. Over the years, Peter has continued to make tremendous progress, and we couldn’t be more proud.”

Peter resides in the Yonkers School District.

Kaplan’s MOVE™ (Mobility Opportunities via Education) program combines therapy and education to teach children with physical disabilities and complex needs the functional skills of sitting, standing, and walking. MOVE™ aims to provide children with the opportunity to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. Every child deserves the right to MOVE™.
