MOVER of the Month - March 2026

Congratulations to Xeyla, our Rockland BOCES Jesse J. Kaplan School “MOVER of the Month” for March!  Since joining the MOVE™ program, Xeyla has developed her abilities to navigate the school and interact with her peers both in and out of the classroom.

“Xeyla is a bright, happy smiling little girl,” says Kaplan Physical Therapist Assistant Kristin Mullen. “She’s been working on walking independently and with the walker, where she’s able to fly across the building, making new friends along the way.”

Kaplan’s MOVE™ (Mobility Opportunities via Education) program combines therapy and education to teach children with physical disabilities and complex needs the functional skills of sitting, standing, and walking. MOVE™ aims to provide children with the opportunity to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. Every child deserves the right to MOVE™.
