MOVER of the Month - March 2025

Congratulations to Nayeli - our Rockland BOCES Jesse J. Kaplan School “MOVER of the Month” for March!  Since joining the MOVE™ program, Nayeli has pushed herself physically, becoming one of the speediest Movers this year. With the assistance of a gate trainer, Nayeli runs circles around the building with a smile.

“Nayeli is dedicated to moving and having fun. She is always on the move in the gate trainer and can hold herself at the table to play with toys or interact with her peers,” says Kaplan Physical Therapist Anne Elton. “We’re very proud of Nayeli and everything she’s accomplished with us.”

Nayeli’s family resides in the Enlarged City School District of Middletown. 

Kaplan’s MOVE™ (Mobility Opportunities via Education) program combines therapy and education to teach children with physical disabilities and complex needs the functional skills of sitting, standing, and walking. MOVE™ aims to give children an opportunity to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. Every child deserves the right to MOVE™.
