MOVER of the Month - January 2026

Congratulations to Brendan, our Rockland BOCES Jesse J. Kaplan School “MOVER of the Month” for January!  Since joining the MOVE™ program, Brendan has increased his mobility, improving his independence and allowing him to move across the school with ease.

“Over the years, Brendan has grown and developed his independence with transfers and while walking,” says Kaplan Physical Therapist Kristen Mullin. “He’s grown leaps and bounds since coming to Kaplan and is such a happy kid. We’re so proud of him and can’t wait to see what he does next.”

Brendan comes to Rockland BOCES from the South Orangetown School District.

Kaplan’s MOVE™ (Mobility Opportunities via Education) program combines therapy and education to teach children with physical disabilities and complex needs the functional skills of sitting, standing, and walking. MOVE™ aims to give children an opportunity to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. Every child deserves the right to MOVE™.
