MOVER of the Month - February 2026

Congratulations to Danielle, our Rockland BOCES Jesse J. Kaplan School “MOVER of the Month” for February!  Since joining the MOVE™ program, Danielle has improved her trunk strength and flexibility, enhancing her independence and enabling her to participate more actively in the classroom and with her peers.

“Dani has been with the move program since its creation in 2016, and she is pure joy,” says Kaplan Physical Therapist Maura Conway. “She is working on keeping her mobility and using her strength and range of motion to stand and engage with her peers. We’re so excited to see what she does next.”

Danielle comes to Rockland BOCES from the Nanuet SD.

Kaplan’s MOVE™ (Mobility Opportunities via Education) program combines therapy and education to teach children with physical disabilities and complex needs the functional skills of sitting, standing, and walking. MOVE™ aims to give children an opportunity to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. Every child deserves the right to MOVE™.
