Construction Begins on West Nyack Campus Technology Center

Work is underway on the construction of our new 52,000-square-foot, two-story tech building on the West Nyack campus! District Superintendent Christopher D’Ambrese was joined by Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) President Robert J. Rodriguez, board members and administrators during a special groundbreaking event on November 13. This milestone is not only a celebration of the start of construction, but a demonstration of our commitment to meeting the needs of our component school districts and paving a bright future for the residents of Rockland County.

Key project attributes funded through DASNY include: the addition of four large classrooms in the Jesse J. Kaplan School following relocation of the existing Culinary Arts facility; one commercial and one standard kitchen for the Career and Technical Education Center’s (CTEC) Culinary Arts program; two specialized Culinary Arts classrooms; 15 STEM classrooms for continued growth of our Hudson Valley P-TECH; a cafeteria with storage area for tables and chairs; and, a regulation-size gymnasium/basketball court and fitness area.
