Fueled by Knowledge: CTEC Students Take Top Honors at GNYADA Competition

Congratulations to our Rockland BOCES Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) Certified Automotive Technology students who competed this week at the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association's (GNYADA) competition.

James Scarry (South Orangetown Central School District) and Jabes Tzoc Duque (Adult Education) took first place in the competition. Andrew Gerron (Adult Education) and Devin McIntosh (Suffern Central School District) placed an impressive third. Both teams will receive scholarships for continuing their education as part of their prize.

From GYNADA: Participants faced 12 challenging stations designed to put their automotive knowledge and skills to the test, all under the expert guidance of industry professionals from top brands like Snap-On and BMW. Competitors had the chance to win a range of prizes, including scholarships and automotive tools and equipment.

Additional kudos to Owen Palma-Nova (East Ramapo Central School District) for competing as well!
