CTEC Students Honored for Excellence and Leadership

CTEC Students Honored for Excellence and Leadership

Rockland BOCES proudly recognized 77 Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) students for their induction into the 2025 National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), a national distinction that celebrates student achievement and excellence in career and technical education.

The formal induction ceremony included a symbolic candle-lighting ritual, with student representatives illuminating seven candles—each representing a core NTHS value: skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship and leadership. New inductees were welcomed to the stage to receive their official certificates, signifying their membership in this prestigious national organization.

To be eligible for NTHS, students must maintain an average of 92 or higher in their CTE coursework, demonstrate leadership and technical proficiency, and contribute to their school or community through service.

In addition to the NTHS honors, 26 students received the Commitment to Excellence award for maintaining a 92 or above GPA for two consecutive years—a remarkable academic achievement.

Congratulations to all inductees and honorees for their outstanding dedication and accomplishments.
