Our Rockland BOCES Teen Tech Camp and Culinary Camp for Kids each wrapped another successful summer of discovery, creativity and fun. From instruction in adventure game design with Minecraft to having fun with real arcs and sparks in our Welding and Sculpting program, campers were engaged in hands-on activities that help to develop in-demand skills for future careers.

Campers in the Digital Photography program captured the beauty of nature through a new lens. Teens enrolled in the “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” course took to our commercial kitchen and prepared dynamite meals inspired from the hit Food Network show.

Our Culinary Camp for Kids campers explored global cuisine at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, while our authentic Italian foodies learned how to make homemade mozzarella, eggplant parmigiana and Sicilian pizza.

The Rockland BOCES’ Career and Technical Education staff is dedicated to providing local teens with the summer opportunity to safely explore our technological and culinary worlds and stimulate the instinctive artist, scientist and inventor in each of them.
