Rockland BOCES is offering two new Adult Education courses this spring for individuals interested in learning new skills. You can hit the open road with Motorhead Motorcycles or add a spark to your day with our industry partners from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers!

Introduction to Residential and Commercial Electrical Training
This course is offered in collaboration with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 363. Learn about residential and commercial wiring used in today’s construction. Topics include: safety, use of tools, reading diagrams, AC theory, diagnostic procedures, electrical calculations, series and parallel circuits, overload protection bending conduit raceways and more! Instructors will review procedures for entry into electrical apprenticeships with students who successfully complete the program. (Acceptance into apprenticeship not guaranteed.)

Motorcycle Maintenance and Repair I
Street bikes, sport bikes, dirt bikes… you’ll learn about clutches, ignitions, brakes, wheel assemblies, tires, electrical fundamentals, inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting for motorcycles and ATV’s. And, forget the classroom! Our Motorcycle Maintenance and Repair courses are taught by Andy Abbene at his state-of-the-art customization, service and performance cycle shop in Stony Point.
