“We thank our component school districts for sharing your students with us. And, we look forward to continued collaboration – valuable partnerships that will only strengthen our long-standing commitment to meeting the varied needs of our students.”
With that, Chief Operating Officer Mary Jean Marsico, Ed.D. unveiled the 2017-18 Rockland BOCES Services Guide during a special evening banquet in the Culinary Arts Dining Room at the Jesse J. Kaplan School in West Nyack. The 44-page publication offers a comprehensive look at the range of programs and cost-effective shared services offered by Rockland BOCES to our component school districts and local agencies.
To meet the needs of the 21st Century learner, Rockland BOCES, creates relevant, engaging and self-directed learning opportunities for all of our students. The Services Guide is evidence of the successful collaboration between our district leaders and Rockland BOCES. In the face of increased expectations and accountability, greatly diminished state funding and resources to carry out our common educational mission, we have been able to get the job done for nearly 60 years.
Great thanks to Career and Technical Education (CTEC) Culinary Arts Instructor Kendell Brenner. Mr. Brenner led his impressive group of culinary students, who prepared and served a delicious meal to the student speakers, their families and local school district officials during the annual event.
All or part of the 2017-18 Services Guide may be printed at need, and pre-printed versions are available upon request from the Rockland BOCES Administrative Office.
