Transition Workshop Series Continues (rescheduled for 2/24)
The next workshop in the series offered through Rockland BOCES, in partnership with the Rockland Transition Consortium, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 24th.

The workshop, titled “Transition Primer: An Overview of the Transition Process for Students with Disabilities Ages 12-21” will provide information about transition, who is involved in a student’s transition, when planning for transition from school to the adult word should begin, and how IEPs are used in transition.

This and subsequent workshops focused on transition of special needs students to the world outside of classrooms, will be held at the Rockland BOCES Conference Center, Building #10 at 65 Parrott Road in West Nyack. All workshops are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m.

In offering these monthly workshops, the Rockland BOCES Special Education Division and the Rockland Transition Consortium are working to educate students and their families in preparing for and making transitions; linking families with resources for the transition from school to work and/or post secondary programs; children’s services to adult services, and home to the community at large.

There is no fee for these workshops. To register, please call Dawn Kitz at 845-624-5833 or email her at dkitz@rboces.org. Please view the list of workshops at the link below.
