RSE-TASC - Regional Special Education, Technical Assistance Support Center

The Regional Special Education, Technical Assistance Support Center (RSE-TASC) is a statewide network offering training, resources, and information to parents, teachers, administrators and others who provide services to students with disabilities.

RSE-TASC works in conjunction with the State Education Department’s Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) to facilitate the development of district-wide plans created as a result of Quality Assurance Program Reviews, and the Quality Improvement Planning (QIP) Process.

Additionally, RSE-TASC training and resources meet the needs of districts which include: pre-referral and instructional support strategies, development of Individual Educational Programs, running effective Committee for Special Education meetings, overviews of changes to state and federal regulations governing special education services, individual/district training for teaching and clinical staff in support of inclusionary teaching practice (e.g. collaborative teaching, differentiated instruction, classroom accommodations) and other issues related to programs for students with disabilities.

RSE-TASC offers short and long-term training packages to school districts, provides expert consultants to meet specific training needs, and maintains an up-to-date library to supplement training needs.
