MRSA Information

Due to recent publicity about Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), Rockland BOCES wants to reinforce the importance of good hygiene.

The best way to prevent the spread of any infection is frequent hand washing with warm water and soap, especially after using the bathroom. If there are signs of a skin infection, redness, swelling, thick yellow drainage, a doctor or other health care provider should be consulted as soon as possible.
